Nevada Red – self-proclaimed Italian glam-pop volcano – electrifies our ears once again with her latest forceful track, a hymn to taking back her power in a male-dominated world, titled ‘automobile’.
The 28-year-old boundary-defying artist, who has enjoyed success appearing in Wonderland and Rollacoaster magazines, and whose songs have been played on highly popular Netflix shows, continues her journey – in breathtaking fashion – to release a new and exciting collection of music throughout 2024.
Italian artist Nevada Red has racked up over 600.000 streams on Spotify and Apple Music in just over two years. What’s remarkable is her impressive catalogue of powerful, electronically driven songs already under her belt – each taking listeners on a stirring journey through explosive love and transformed pain.
Her smash synth-pop track ‘Body Rock’ featured in the No. 1 Netflix movie hit ‘Senior Year’, gaining mass traction and placing her firmly on the map as one-to-watch for the future of pop, or how she puts it ‘glamorous pop’. The accomplished ‘On My Mind’ has been played on over 31 national radio stations so far, nearing 100,000 streams in a little over two months.
Despite the unconventional creative process, Nevada Red is bold enough to suggest she channels the prowess of many pioneering and edgy pop icons: “Can you see Lady Gaga, Lorde and Édith Piaf in me…?” she says. “They’re here with me!” She’s also keen to point out her similarity to more names, stating her music is ‘for-fans-of’ Katy Perry, Stromae, P!nk Mika and Camila Cabello among others.’
Aiming to emulate the success of the aforementioned stars, Nevada Red has the potential to become a real force in mainstream pop music. One thing's for sure: she’s well on her way to doing so; ‘automobile’ is a well-conceived offering displaying that her musical repertoire spans a more varied range of styles and moods than first thought…
